My name is Melinda Scates.  I am married and have four children and eleven grandchildren. I am Native American and live on the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska reservation. I enjoy sewing, crafts, cooking, and spending time with my family.  I currently work for the Kickapoo Head Start as a Family Advocate.  I am currently attending Peru State College working on my Masters in Education. My experience with technology is an experience I am still learning.  I have a PC and when I was in the classroom we used  smart boards, iPad, computers, and iPad table for our students to learn and explore. We use Microsoft Word 2016. 
I think what really inspired me to continue with my Master's was a friend of mine who encouraged me to continue and I decided to go ahead and finish out at Peru where I graduated.  I plan to possibly continuing with working on my Doctrine Degree and maybe one day become a professor in a college.
